We purchased this after staying at a park that had extremely hard water.  We saw what the hard water was doing to our shower, faucets, etc. and realized we had to do something ASAP.  We have been extremely happy with this unit's performance (no more spots on the shower glass, no more deposits on the faucets, etc.) and consider this a must have if you stay in places with hard water.  We love that you only need table salt to regenerate it (available at Wal-Mart for 38 cents per regeneration).

• Softens 300 to 700 Gallons per cycle.
• Provides soft water for 7-14 days and costs less than $2 per month to operate for two people.
• Extremely simple to use.
• Uses ordinary table salt to regenerate.
• Quick set-up and tear-down time.
• Easy and fast hook-up
• Standard hose connections
• No tools required
• Requires no electricity
• Compact and lightweight (22" tall x 6" inches in diameter, weights: 18lbs.)

Camco RhinoFLEX 15' RV Sewer Hose Kit
After our neighbor ran over the sewer hose that came with our motorhome one night, we decided to try the RhinoFLEX hose after hearing so many people rave about them.  It seems much sturdier than normal sewer hoses and we love the fact that you can compress it or expand it to make it the perfect size for most sewer connections.

  • Includes 15 foot RhinoFLEX sewer hose, swivel bayonet adapter, 4-in-1  translucent elbow, two locking rings and two storage caps
    • Fittings swivel for ease of use and are detachable
    • 15 feet RhinoFLEX sewer hose is made of durable polyolefin and reinforced with steel wire
    • 4-in-1 translucent elbow adapter fits 3 inch slip or 3 inch, 3-1/2 inch and 4 inch threaded dump-station pipes
    • Kit compresses to 56 inches for storage

The previous owners of our motorhome had taken out the Select Comfort mattress that came with it - so the dealership put in a brand new standard quality innerspring mattress. We tried to put up with it as long as we could. We used to have a Tempurpedic bed when we lived in our stick built house. We were very happy with it and it really helped us sleep better. Unfortunately, it was a king size and wouldn't fit in the motorhome - so it went into storage. We just couldn't stomach spending another $3,000 for our motorhome mattress even though we yearned for the sleep we got on the Tempurpedic.

So off I went - researching our options.  I finally found a mattress on Amazon that seemed like it would be a good fit. The reviews were good - the price was right (about $370) - and shipping was free!

It arrived within 2 days (I have the Amazon Prime shipping memebership) in a box that was about 2' x 2' x 3' big.  It was a bit on the heavy site (about 80 pounds) - but fit easily in the narrow door of the motorhome and through the doorways going back to the bedroom.  We decided to unpack it in the bedroom rather than outside because we thought it would be easier to remove the box than to try to get the big unpacked mattress through the door in the motorhome.

The mattress comes compressed and "folded" up inside the box.  That scared me a bit - but as soon as you remove the packaging, it expands nicely and within about 4 hours you couldn't even tell it was ever packed up.  The directions said to allow up to 72 hours before sleeping on it - but it looked ready after 4 hours so we went ahead and slept on it that night.

Our first impression was that it was easily as comfortable as our Tempurpedic was.  It has now been a couple months and we're still in love.  We both agree that it's as good as our Tempurpedic was - but at a fraction of the price.

    Aqua-Clean Kitchen & Bath Cleaner
We tried just about everything to clean the hard water stains on our shower.  (Some had been there for years from the previous owner)  This was the first product we found that truly got our shower looking like new.  It's safe on all surfaces - so no worries about damage to metal surfaces, tile, etc.
